Mark E. Kaplan, MD

Allergy Specialist/Immunologist

     Dr. Mark E. Kaplan joined Allergy and Asthma Consultants, Ltd. in 1993 and has expanded the practice to include offices in Gurnee and Libertyville, Illinois.  Dr. Kaplan graduated from Grinnell College in Iowa and subsequently received his M.D. from the University of Health Sciences / the Chicago Medical School.  He completed a residency in internal medicine at Northwestern University followed by a fellowship in pediatric and adult allergy / immunology at Northwestern University in Chicago.  Dr. Kaplan is board-certified in internal medicine and allergy / immunology and re-certified in allergy / immunology in 2003.

     Dr. Kaplan is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.  He is a clinical instructor of Medicine at Northwestern University and supervises medical students from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.  Dr. Kaplan is a member of the medical staffs of Lake Forest Hospital, Evanston Northwestern Healthcare, Condell Medical Center and Victory Memorial Hospital.  Chicago Magazine has named him one of Chicago's "Top Doctors - Chicago Metro Area" on multiple occasions.
